Exceeded expectations for a tricky custom install — 5 stars After finishing our kitchen redesign, this microwave trim kit was the last piece, and it turned out better than I'd hoped. Our cabinet cubby is oddly proportioned, with a lot of extra vertical and horizontal space between the microwave and where a standard trim kit would normally screw in. A competitor actually told me this custom hole situation wouldn't be workable at all. MicroTrim took the measurements I provided (accurate to 1/16") and delivered a kit where every installation dimension and individual piece matched to the same precision. To solve the offset issue, they engineered brackets with off-center holes specifically to account for that weird spacing. The riser height centered the microwave perfectly in the opening. And since there's a good amount of room behind the microwave, the risers have a little stop flap so the microwave can't get pushed back too far, without needing the microwave to be screwed down. My favorite detail is how accessible everything stays after install. The face plate (not load-bearing) attaches to the brackets with magnets, so it pops off easily whenever needed. From there, you just unplug and pull the microwave straight out. If we ever swap microwaves down the line, we'd only need a new face plate. This is a very thoughtful, sleek, and functional design. Really impressed with the engineering and precision here. Highly recommend for anyone with a non-standard cabinet setup.

These guys do fantastic work!!! Custom designed/fabricated a single-piece stainless steel chimney for our Bosch hood vent. We have a vaulted/slanted ceiling and wanted just a single piece instead of the two-piece chimney that came with the vent. Very happy customer.

Ordered my second microwave trim kit from Microtrim. The 1st was about 13 years ago. The 2nd was just a few weeks ago. Lead time was like a week... it arrived to my door fast. Easy installation using well-thought-out instruction sheets. I'm very happy with the results.

We replaced our microwave and found that the factory trim kit was almost twice the cost of the microwave. Micro-Trim came to the rescue. I am very impressed with the quality and service I received at Micro-Trim. I had to replace my original microwave and I could not find any standard trim kit to fit the opening.
